Q: Can I stay for one night only?
A: Yes, at certain times of the year the Barney Homestead room and the 2 Bedroom Cabin are available for a one night stay. The only available activity for one night guests is to join the animal feeding tour as our arrival time at the farm is 2pm and departure is at 10am. Our staff stop activities at 4pm so that they can finish the many other duties required in maintaining a fully functioning cattle property and start again at 8am. One night allows guests no options to enjoy the many activities available.
Q: Do Mobile phones work at Lillydale?
A: Generally mobiles with a Telstra Sim card work at Lillydale. If you are with another carrier this gives you the perfect excuse to not answer any calls and simply spend time reconnecting with the ones you love.
Q: What time is arrival and departure at the farm?
A: Arrival time is at 2pm and departure is at 10am. We are unable to offer early arrivals or late departures as we are a small family run business. If you would like to arrive earlier than 2pm to start activities or explore the farm we recommend booking the preceding night's accommodation
Q: I am on holidays and don't wish to clean up or do my dishes. Is this okay?
A: We expect rooms to be neat when you leave. This includes dishes washed, dried and put away, fridges emptied of products and rubbish taken to the recycling bins. If you would prefer not to do this, that is fine but there will be a surcharge added to your credit card.
Q: Do you have babysitting?
A: Yes, we have specially designed activities including treasure hunts, animal grooming and bushwalking. We also offer Saddle Club where children learn how to groom and feed horses. These activities need to be booked one week before arrival and are an optional extra.
Q: Do you have activities just for couples?
A: We offer pamper packages which need to be pre-booked one week before arrival. These packages can include facials, massages or body wraps.
Q: Can I bring my dog or horse?
A: Unfortunately Lillydale is unable to accept any outside dogs or horses. Our dogs are working dogs and whilst they are very people friendly they are territorial and do not like other dogs.
Q: Can I go camping at Lillydale?
A: Lillydale does not currently have any camping facilities.
Q: How many people can go riding at once?
A: For safety reasons we take out no more than four people at a time and all trail rides are at a walking pace. This is because even though you may be an accomplished horse rider you are on a new horse that may not react the same way that your usual horse does. Only one person is able to be on the horse at a time. There are no exceptions to this rule. Our trail rides have fantastic views and we go through Koala grove.
Q: Does Lillydale have a restaurant open to guests?
A: Lillydale does not have a restaurant. All homestead rooms have kitchenette facilities with a fridge, freezer, microwave, electric hotplate and electric frypan plus a toaster and kettle. There are also bbq's available for use. The eco-cabin has full kitchen facilities. The local Rathdowney hotel offers a great range of meals and is a 15 minute drive from Lillydale.
Q: How far is Lillydale from Perth?
A: Lillydale is on the East Coast of Australia and Perth is on the West Coast. We recommend flying to Brisbane airport from Perth.
Q: How far is Lillydale from Surfers Paradise or Brisbane?
A: We recommend allowing 2 hours from Surfers Paradise and Brisbane if you have not driven to the Scenic Rim region before. This will allow you to drive at a leisurely pace and enjoy our fantastic scenery. If you prefer not to drive please contact Tim@EcoSafaris.com.au
Q: Can we bring our trailbikes and do you have quadbike riding?
A: Unfortunately we do not offer these options. Push bikes are welcome.
Q: What time is animal feeding?
A: Animal feeding is at 8 in the morning and again at 3 in the afternoon.
Q: Do I need to pre-book any activities?
A: Yes, we need for you to book all activities before arrival so that we can arrange for the correct staff to be available on that day.
